An award-winning author, psychotherapist, mental health educator, keynote speaker, disability rights advocate, extreme athlete, and fitness coach, Rebecca Alexander is almost completely blind and deaf. Grateful for every sound, sight, and sense, Rebecca transforms personal adversities into a platform for advocacy and empowerment, educating and inspiring others to navigate and dismantle barriers.

With over 15 years of experience, Rebecca holds two Master’s degrees from Columbia University in Clinical Social Work and Public Health, and advanced training from several notable psychotherapy institutes.

USHER SYNDROME SOCIETY

As a Board Director and volunteer for the Usher Syndrome Society, Rebecca accelerates the non-profit’s mission to raise public awareness and funds for research to find treatments and a cure for Usher syndrome, the most common genetic cause of combined and progressive deafness and blindness.
